TCL unveils 2026 SQD-Mini LED TV lineup in UAE, led by C7L, C8L and flagship X11L

Dubai: TCL has introduced its 2026 SQD-Mini LED TV lineup in the UAE, bringing three new models — the C7L, C8L and flagship X11L — to the market at an exclusive media event in Dubai.

The launch marks a major step for the global electronics brand, which says the new range is designed to raise the bar for brightness, colour accuracy, contrast and large-screen viewing. Visitors at the event got a hands-on look at the TVs through interactive zones focused on movies, live sports, gaming and everyday home entertainment.

Vic Shen, General Manager, TCL Middle East, said the company remains committed to pushing premium display technology forward. He said the new lineup brings “exceptional brightness, cinematic colour precision, advanced halo control, and immersive Audio by Bang & Olufsen” across TCL’s premium TV range.

At the heart of the new series is TCL’s SQD-Mini LED technology, which the company says goes beyond traditional QD-Mini LED by combining a refined Mini LED backlight structure with advanced quantum dot materials and panel optimisation. According to TCL, this improves how light is converted into colour, delivering better precision, stronger stability and a wider colour range across different viewing conditions.

TCL says the technology also helps produce deeper blacks, less blooming and more consistent picture quality on ultra-large screens. The flagship models are capable of reaching peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits and feature more than 20,000 local dimming zones. The company also highlights improved long-term panel durability.

The 2026 lineup is split into three tiers. The C7L is positioned as the entry point into TCL’s new SQD-Mini LED range, offering 144Hz native refresh rate, Game Accelerator support of up to 288Hz VRR, and sizes from 65 to 98 inches. TCL says it is built for sports, gaming and family viewing.

The C8L steps up the experience with TCL’s WHVA 2.0 Ultra Panel, stronger dimming precision and Audio by Bang & Olufsen. It also features a Virtually ZeroBorder design for a near bezel-free look and comes in 65-inch to 98-inch sizes.

At the top of the range, the X11L is TCL’s new flagship model. The company says it delivers 10,000 nits peak brightness, more than 20,000 dimming zones and its most advanced Audio by Bang & Olufsen system. Available in 75-inch, 85-inch and 98-inch variants, the X11L also features a Virtually ZeroBorder design and an ultra-thin profile of around 2cm at its slimmest point in select models.

TCL said the UAE launch comes at a time when demand for large premium televisions is rising, with more consumers looking for big-screen displays for cinematic viewing, gaming and connected home entertainment.

With the new range, TCL is aiming to strengthen its presence in the premium TV segment and bring its latest display technology to consumers across the UAE.
