The initiative reflected Dubai’s human-centered approach to recognizing the contributions of all segments of society while promoting quality of life and social cohesion.

The initiative reached more than 127,000 beneficiaries and participants through a wide range of on-ground and digital programs and activities. Attendance at the field events exceeded 55,000 participants, demonstrating the strong engagement with the activities organized for the occasion.

The initiative further expanded its impact through programs and activities conducted across 31 labour accommodations in various areas of Dubai, benefiting 51,000 workers. In addition, the digital engagement platform Blue Connect recorded 21,758 participants, highlighting the platform’s success in enhancing accessibility and providing an innovative interactive experience that enabled workers to celebrate Eid virtually.

The celebration featured a variety of entertainment, cultural, and interactive activities, as well as prize draws and giveaways totaling 600 prizes, including four cars as grand prizes, in addition to a range of other rewards that brought joy to participants and reinforced their sense of appreciation during the Eid holidays.

The initiative was organized with the participation of several government entities, community organizations, and private-sector partners, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Police, Dubai Customs, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, alongside a number of sponsors and supporters. This collaboration reflects the integration of efforts in supporting community initiatives with a direct social impact.

In this regard, Major General Obaid Muhair Bin Suroor, Deputy Director General of GDRFA Dubai and Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in Dubai, emphasized that celebrating the workforce during community occasions reflects Dubai’s humanitarian approach to recognizing workers’ contributions and reinforcing their role as key partners in the emirate’s ongoing development journey.

He noted that the scale of both physical and digital participation in this year’s celebration underscores the importance of developing initiatives capable of reaching diverse segments of society through innovative approaches that combine direct engagement with digital interaction, while promoting appreciation, solidarity, and quality of life.

For his part, Colonel Omar Matar Al Meheiri, Assistant Director General of the Labour Relations Regulation Sector at GDRFA Dubai, stated that the event witnessed a qualitative expansion in both outreach and beneficiary numbers by combining on-ground activities in labour accommodations with the digital experience provided through the Blue Connect platform. This approach enabled the initiative to reach and engage the widest possible segment of the workforce during the Eid celebrations.

He added that, through such initiatives, GDRFA Dubai continues to promote an integrated community model that balances institutional excellence with human values, while fostering a positive and inclusive environment that recognizes the contributions of the workforce to Dubai’s society.

The initiative forms part of GDRFA Dubai’s ongoing commitment to implementing impactful community programs that enhance quality of life and strengthen the values of appreciation and social cohesion, reflecting Dubai’s position as a global city that celebrates all members of society and places human well-being and quality of life at the heart of its priorities.
