Cristiano Ronaldo gifts Vinicius Junior special jersey after Portugal beat Liechtenstein

Real Madrid’s Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior recently suffered an injury during the World Cup qualifiers against Colombia, putting his 2023 season into question.

However, in a heartwarming gesture, former Real Madrid forward and current Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo decided to cheer up the young player by gifting him an iconic Portugal jersey that he wore during his game against Liechtenstein, according to Goal.

The shirt was signed and featured a small message from Ronaldo himself, which Vinicius posted on his Instagram account along with pictures of the thoughtful gift and other pictures of the 23-year-old winger sporting luxury brand outfits.

He captioned the post: “A little trip of my gallery…”.

Ronaldo’s gesture is a testament to his kind-hearted personality and his willingness to support and uplift his fellow players.

Last week, Vinicius injured his left thigh during Brazil’s 2-1 loss against Columbia and is expected to miss action for weeks before resuming in the second month of the new year.

Ronaldo’s gift will surely boost his morale as he recovers from the injury.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo scored a brace, including a 40-yard stunner, during Al Nassr’s 3-0 win over Al Akhdoud on Saturday.

Vinicius immediately praised his idol by writing, “SIIIII”, accompanied by a crown symbol on either side of it, in the comment section under Ronaldo’s Instagram post.

In addition, Rodrigo, his Real Madrid teammate, praised the football hero in a comment that included a goat and a heart-eyed face emoji.

Notably, the 38-year-old forward still tops the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer rankings after this brace as he has scored 15 goals thus far. He will undoubtedly want to maintain his form.
