UAE wins presidency of Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers & Reinsurers

ABU DHABI, 23rd November, 2023 (WAM) — The United Arab Emirates has secured the presidency of the Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers Reinsurers during the General Assembly elections held on Wednesday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

Khaled Mohammed Al Badi, Chairman of the Emirates Insurance Association, assumes the presidency of the Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers Reinsurers for the upcoming term of 2023-2025.

Al Badi stated, “The move is a recognition of the UAE’s efforts in the insurance and reinsurance sector. The country has successfully strengthened this crucial economic sector through legislations and initiatives that enabled growth and expansion.”

Abu Dhabi recently hosted the 28th conference of the Afro-Asian Union of Insurance and Reinsurance (FAIR 2023) with participation from over 800 executives and decision-makers in the global insurance markets from 62 countries, particularly from African and Asian Union member countries.
