Saqr Ghobash meets Speaker of Qatar’s Shura Council

Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, Speaker of Qatar’s Shura Council.
At the start of the meeting, Al Ghanim welcomed Ghobash and affirmed the close ties between the two countries.
Ghobash highlighted the importance of the parliamentary ties and the exchange of relevant expertise between the two parliaments, extending his congratulations to H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, as well as the country’s government and people, on the occasion of Qatar’s 51st National Day, as well as lauding the significant overall development witnessed by the country.
He also congratulated Qatar for its successful hosting and organisation of the FIFA 2022 World Cup, which took place for the first time in the Arab region.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral ties between the two counties and their ongoing parliamentary cooperation and stressed the importance of coordinating their stances at regional and international parliamentary events
