Pakistan’s Consulate in Dubai Celebrates 78th Independence Day

DUBAI: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai held a spirited flag-hoisting ceremony today to commemorate the nation’s 78th Independence Day, drawing a large crowd of enthusiastic Pakistani expatriates.

The event, which was a display of national pride and unity, featured the reading of messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister, reinforcing the leadership’s vision and commitment to the nation.

Consul General Hussain Muhammad welcomed the community members with a warm address, extending his heartfelt congratulations. He lauded the nation’s resilience in the face of recent external aggression, particularly highlighting the successful campaigns of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. He described these military achievements as historic milestones and a testament to Pakistan’s professional excellence and steadfast national resolve.

The Consul General also encouraged the Pakistani diaspora to maintain their constructive role in the development of both the UAE and Pakistan, recognizing their valuable contributions to the prosperity of their host country and their unwavering support for their homeland.

He expressed gratitude to the UAE government for its support, specifically acknowledging the grand Independence Day celebrations organized by Emirates Loves Pakistan in partnership with the Pakistan Association Dubai at Expo City Dubai on August 10, 2025.

The ceremony concluded with patriotic performances by students from the Pakistan Education Academy Dubai and a lively quiz competition, adding to the day’s festive atmosphere.
