Mobile Developers Week to Fast-Track AI-Ready Experiences with Samsung Strategic Partnership
Abu Dhabi, UAE – The future of mobile innovation is set to accelerate this December as the Mobile Developers Week in Abu Dhabi brings together Android innovators and industry leaders, underpinned by a strategic partnership with Samsung Gulf Electronics. The collaboration aims to fast-track mobile-first, AI-ready experiences and drive real-world solutions as on-device Artificial Intelligence (AI) redefines user interactions globally.
Scheduled from December 13-15, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center, the event, organised by OMNES Technologies, will uniquely combine droidcon Abu Dhabi and Swift Heroes Abu Dhabi under one roof. The focus will be on exploring on-device AI innovation and Android performance enhancements as they transition from prototype to production.
Samsung Gulf Electronics joins the global gathering as a strategic partner, a move that highlights a shared commitment to advancing AI-driven performance, efficiency, and privacy on mainstream devices. This aligns with the mobile economy’s expected growth towards a US$1 trillion valuation and the projection by Deloitte that the share of Gen-AI enabled smartphone shipments will exceed 30% this year. The global on-device AI market is also poised for significant expansion, estimated to grow from US$26.6 billion in 2025 to **US$124 billion**.
“The fast-evolving landscape of mobile AI demands that developers not only keep pace with rapid technology advances but also address user needs such as privacy, personalisation and power efficiency,” said Fahed Aldeeb, CEO of OMNES Technologies. “We are honoured to partner with Samsung Gulf Electronics to advance our shared vision to accelerate the mobile economy.”
Fadi Abu Shamat, Vice President and Head of the Mobile eXperience Division, Samsung Gulf Electronics, emphasised the company’s vision, stating, “Galaxy AI wasn’t just build to add new features, it was built to democratise meaningful AI. Our goal has always been to make AI functional, intuitive and accessible to every user… As we collaborate with the Android developer community, we are enabling innovation that empowers people in their everyday lives.”
The event’s developer-focused programme will highlight this momentum with three standout sessions:
- ‘The State of AI/ML on Android’: A deep-dive into how AI is reshaping mobile device capabilities, focusing on performance optimisation.
- ‘AI in Your Pocket: Implementing LiteRT in Android Apps’: A hands-on analysis of delivering efficient, real-time AI models directly on smartphones.
- ‘Empowering Android Apps with Local Google Gemini’: Focusing on integrating AI assistants natively into apps without relying heavily on cloud latency.
The programme, which will welcome an estimated 3,000 visitors, will span four stages: GovAI Summit, NextPlay Arena, droidcon Abu Dhabi, and Swift Heroes Abu Dhabi. It promises interactive exhibitions, networking zones, live app launches, and startup pitches, offering unprecedented opportunities for collaboration on the future of mobile innovation. Supporting partners include the Abu Dhabi Convention & Exhibition Bureau.
