India vs Pakistan Set for Marquee Clash in Pool C at Hong Kong Sixes 2024 on Nov 1
Hong Kong – The highly anticipated Hong Kong Cricket Sixes tournament is set to make a grand return after a six-year hiatus, taking place from November 1 to 3, 2024, at the Tin Kwong Road Cricket Ground. This event will see 12 nations, including cricketing giants India and Pakistan, competing in exciting six-a-side matches.
The tournament features 12 teams divided into four pools, each with three teams. A round-robin format will determine the top two teams from each group, who will advance to the quarterfinals. Winners of the quarterfinals will move on to the Cup semifinals, while the losing teams will compete in the Plate semifinals. The bottom teams in each pool will contest in the Bowl Competition. A total of 29 matches will be held over the three days, with a Women’s Exhibition Match on the final day to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Defending champions South Africa, who won the 2017 title by defeating Pakistan in the final, will aim to add another trophy to their collection. They currently share the top spot for most titles with England, both boasting five championships. Pakistan follows with four titles, while Sri Lanka, Australia, India, and the West Indies have each won once.
One of the most thrilling contests, India vs Pakistan, is scheduled for November 1 at 11:30 AM IST, promising a high-octane battle between the arch-rivals.
