Donald Trump confidently says Joe Biden can’t face him

Former US President and Republican hopeful Donald Trump believed Tuesday that the commander-in-chief Joe Biden would not debate him as he is ready to hold discussions “as many as necessary, starting now.”

Donald Trump — who is facing four criminal indictments in a number of cases — was of the view that it was “an obligation” for the two presidential candidates to engage in a debate as the elections are nearing in November this year.

The 77-year-old has not participated in any of the Republican presidential debates with confidence that he enjoyed massive support all over the country.

His only competitor in the party is former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley who has vowed to stay.

The business mogul told Fox News Tuesday: “Frankly, I think we have an obligation. When you have the final Republican, the final Democrat, you have the two people, you have to debate regardless of polls.”

He added that he’d be willing to do “as many as necessary.”

“I would like to do it starting now,” Trump maintained during the interview adding “I don’t think [Biden’s] going to debate though. I really don’t think so.”

The presidential debates are set to commence in September with three on the schedule.

The former commander-in-chief has easily secured victory in the first three primary contests starting from Iowa.

According to analysts, Trump’s decision to not participate in the Republican presidential debates could offer Joe Biden a justification to opt out of the election debates.

In December, the 81-year-old’s campaign official said that the president’s team “will have those conversations about debates in the future.”

Trump’s eagerness to engage in the debate with the president comes as poll results projected Trump with a narrow lead in a number of swing states, marking a shift in favour of the Republican candidate.
