Cristiano Ronaldo nets 2nd hattrick of the season in just FOUR days
Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday scored his second hattrick in the Saudi Pro League (SPL) proving he is indeed the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) as Al-Nassr gnawed Abha in a remarkable 8-0 victory.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star scored two free kicks then netted a solo special before being taken off at half-time, The Sun reported.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a series of clicks from the game with his fans writing: “We are not slowing down!”
Ronaldo reigns on top of the SPL’s list of top scorers with 29 goals, with Al-Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrovic following right behind him in second place with 22 goals.
The 39-year-old Portuguese striker’s latest exploits marked his 65th career hattrick just four days after he scored his 64th career hattrick when Al-Nassr defeated Al-Tai on Saturday.
The ex-Juventus player scored a low-free kick opener on 11 minutes and completed a deadball double by fading the ball into the top corner.
British broadcaster Piers Morgan remarked Ronaldo’s free kicks on X saying: “The GOAT @Cristiano doing yet more GOAT things tonight.. two brilliant free kick goals, this one vintage Ronaldo.”
However, the slickest of chips by Ronaldo taking the ball in his stride 25 yards out, which clinched the hattrick, impressed plenty of viewers.
Fans are certain that Ronaldo, who has now notched 42 goals in 41 games for Al-Nassr this season, still has room for more Ballon d’Or trophies after winning his fifth and last one in 2017.
One fan responded: “We’ll push him for Ballon d’Or 2024.”
