Ali Al Nuaimi receives German Ambassador

ABU DHABI: Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council (FNC), today received, at the headquarters of the FNC General Secretariat in Abu Dhabi, Alexander Schonfelder, Ambassador of Germany to the UAE.

The meeting was attended by members of the FNC Parliamentary Friendship Committee with European Parliaments, who were FNC members Marwan Al Mahiri, Sarah Falaknaz and Dr. Hawaa Al Dahhak Al Mansoori.

The meeting discussed the distinguished parliamentary relations between the FNC and the German Bundestag and the importance of the recent official visit of an FNC delegation to Germany to enhance their parliamentary relations and positively reflect on their bilateral relations.

They also talked about the UAE’s hosting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) and a related parliamentary meeting. They stressed the importance of the existing strategic ties between the UAE and Germany, which underline the commitment of their leaderships and governments to further advance their overall relations.

They then lauded the outcomes of mutual visits, cooperation agreements and partnerships in various areas, most notably in the economic, investment and tourism sectors, between the two countries.
