GDRFA Dubai Strengthens a Culture of Communication and Employee Empowerment Through the “You Matter Most 2026” Initiative

The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) organized the “You Matter Most 2026” initiative with broad participation from employees across various sectors and job levels. The interactive dialogue-based gathering reflected the organization’s approach to reinforcing direct communication between leadership and employees, and to fostering a positive work environment built on empowerment, appreciation, and partnership.
The initiative was held as part of GDRFA Dubai’s commitment to building a human-centered institutional culture that elevates the value of employees and places them at the heart of institutional development. This is achieved by opening channels of dialogue, listening to perspectives, and sharing leadership visions and experiences, contributing to higher job satisfaction, enhanced stability, and improved performance.

The gathering also featured a series of interactive segments, including open dialogues with the Assistant Directors General that addressed the future of GDRFA Dubai’s sectors and the role of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in service development. This was complemented by an interactive session titled “Why We Matter,” which enabled employees to share their views and experiences within the work environment and reflected the results of the institutional survey. The program also included a visual segment that embodied the concept of the GDRFA Dubai family in a comprehensive manner, reflecting the values of cohesion, belonging, and teamwork. The event concluded with the “Your Voice Is Heard” segment, underscoring GDRFA Dubai’s commitment to transparency and constructive communication between leadership and employees.

In this context, His Excellency Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, stated:
“At GDRFA Dubai, we believe that employees are the true partners in our journey of success. Direct communication and sincere listening are the foundation for building a stable and motivating work environment. The ‘You Matter Most’ initiative reinforces this approach and strengthens a culture of closeness between leadership and employees, positively impacting performance and the quality of services provided to the community.”
He added: “We are keen to ensure that the work environment at GDRFA Dubai remains a supportive and human-centered one that encourages initiative, values efforts, and provides space for constructive dialogue, because investing in people is the most important and sustainable investment.”
For his part, Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director General, affirmed that the “You Matter Most” initiative represents an important institutional platform for enhancing trust and transparency within the work environment. He said:
“This gathering reflects GDRFA Dubai’s commitment to a leadership approach based on partnership with employees, clarity of vision, and faster decision-making through direct communication, contributing to greater job stability and improved institutional performance.”
He noted that empowering employees and listening to their feedback and observations are key elements in developing policies and improving the work environment, supporting the achievement of institutional objectives and strengthening future readiness.
The organization of the “You Matter Most 2026” initiative aligns with GDRFA Dubai’s direction toward consolidating a human-centric government model focused on people and enhancing quality of work life.
