PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi chairs joint meeting of Selection Committee and Mentors

Lahore, Pakistan – PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presided over a special joint meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) selection Committee and mentors today. The two-hour-long meeting commenced with Chairman Naqvi holding a separate session with the mentors, followed by a collective discussion with both the selection Committee members and the mentors.

In the meeting, the national team’s recent performance and fitness levels reviewed in detail. The Selection Committee briefed Chairman Naqvi on the proposed changes to the squad.

Chairman PCB and the mentors agreed to finalise the evaluation of new player’s performance and fitness by the conclusion of the ongoing series. Additionally, the Chairman instructed an improvement in the standard of pitches.

Attendees included Selection Committee members Aqib Javed, Azhar Ali, Aleem Dar, Hassan Cheema, advisor Bilal Afzal, Director Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi, and Director High Performance Nadeem Khan. Mentors Shoaib Malik, Misbah-ul-Haq, Waqar Younis, and Saqlain Mushtaq also participated in the session. Mentor Sarfaraz Ahmed and Selection Committee member Asad Shafiq joined via video link.
